I haven't seen your name before, that I can recollect... If you are a first time contributor, I would like to thank you and bid you welcome. Your article about Woody Dantzler is a welcome addition to a category that we have just barely scratched the surface of on the ClemsonWiki project.

If you would like to add any other player bios, it would help address an area in which we have not really got more than a few germinal items.

If you have any questions about the Clemson Wiki, please feel free to reply.

USAF Brat

I, my own self, grew up in an Air Force family, when Daddy opted to stay in after his Korean War call-up expired. (He was a Clemson grad, Class of '49).

I was born at Wright-Patt in the old Wood City Hospital (where the power plant is now), and lived in Fairborn, Ohio 'til I was five. We then did two years in Lubbock, Texas, assigned at Reese AFB while Daddy went to Texas Tech an the Air Force nickel. Then, five years in Washington, D.C. area - where I live now - Falls Church, Virginia), 1963-68, followed by four years at Norton AFB, San Bernardino, California, 1968-72, where Daddy first worked at SAMSO on the Minuteman II program, then later, training as a civil engineer.

I finished high school in Fort Walton Beach, Florida in 1974, a half year after my Dad retired from his final assignment at Eglin AFB, where he was with the ADTC lab. Had a lot of fun in my high school and college days, poking around the Eglin ranges, with their polyglot of Korean War - era target planes and tanks.

Bracketing dates

We are starting a history day-by-day data base, so it would be very helpful if you would bracket the dates as well as the years for events you list. Separate the days and the years in separate brackets as we classify the events both ways...

Upload files

In truth, I don't fool too much with the site's architecture, and primarily provide content. I have never uploading any images myself.

Evilphoenix and Victor are probably the guys to direct your inquiry to. However, 'Phoenix seems to be off on holiday the past few weeks, and I'm not sure when he'll pop back up...

Steve Fuller

May I suggest a bio on Steve Fuller?

[edit] June stuff

Hey - thanx for catching that typo...

I have just finished mining out all the relevant June date events in the Clemson History by year (most of which I put there originally), to add to the day-by-day section.

[edit] Great stuff

O man! You are adding some great stuff! Up to now, I had been really the only person writing about sports and my archives in that area are not comprehensive by any means. Keep up the good work!

[edit] Directory - Which numbah, pleeze?

Umm - I JUST happen to have THAT thing!

The 1980-1981 Clemson University Directory lists Randal Charles Cheek, on page 18 of the student section. He was a sophomore Administrative Management major, living in 02C5 Mauldin Hall. His home address was on Richmond Hill in Augusta, Georgia.

[edit] Obed

How 'bout an article on Obed Ariri, who broke Banks McFadden's 40-year old kicking record in 1979?

We have several links to him, but I have never gotten around to writing a bio...

[edit] How to make a Day

Hey I noticed your making Day pages. Rock on. I created a handy template for that, {{Day}}. You use it by going to the Day you want to create, and typing the following: {{subst:Day|November|3}}, which would be what you'd use for November 3rd. The just hit save, and the template will automagically create the basic Day page for you. It also calls up the {{Calendar}} for the given month, which I've implemented through June and I think July, I'll get to the later ones, well, later. But the {{Daybox}} template is deprecated now, so I'd rather just use the calendar. Hope that helps! Ëvilphoenix Burn! 17:47, 16 June 2006 (EDT)
