Alpha Omega Epsilon is a professional and social sorority composed of female engineering students and alumnae. The sorority was founded on November 13, 1983, and on August 23, 2005 it became a recognized chapter on the Clemson University campus. The idea of uniting female engineers of all curricula continues to spread to other campuses nationwide as well as one chapter in British Columbia. To date there are 16 chapters and 3 colonies.

Alpha Omega Epsilon Xi Chapter became a chapter on August 21, 2004 at Clemson University.
