William Barre Aull

William Barre Aull was a graduate of the Clemson Class of 1907, and a long-time Agricultural Department faculty member, serving as assistant professor of Bacteriology as of 1918-1919.

He will marry Mary Hart Evans who will be the first woman faculty member in 1918 when she takes a position as assistant professor of botany.

His Senior biographical sketch from the Clemson College Annual of 1907 (page 23):

"W. B." achieved early fame by being born in Newberry. This event happened March 24th, 1887. He received his early education in the Newberry Schools, and later, in the Pendleton Graded Schools. He entered Clemson September, 1903, following the Agricultural Course. He was a member of the Columbian Literary Society, and won the Orator's medal in his Senior year. He was Exchange Editor of The Chronicle, and Associate Editor of '07 Annual. He was President of the newly organized Senior Science Club, and Vice-President of the Y. M. C. A. Also a representative of Clemson at the International Student's Volunteer Movement, held at Nashville. Of athletics, he has ever been an enthusiastic supporter.
