November 4 in Clemson History
- 1907: Clemson is shut-out by Alabama Polytechnic Institute (renamed Auburn in 1960), 0-12, in a game played in Auburn, Alabama, tieing the series at 3-3.
- 1909: The Clemson-South Carolina game resumes after a six-year absence. Clemson wins, 6-0, in Columbia at the State Fair. Tigers lead series, 5-2.
- 1911: Clemson blanks The Citadel, 18-0, in match played in Charleston, the third win for the Tigers in three meetings.
- 1922: The Rambling Wreck takes down the Tigers in Atlanta, 7-21, as Georgia Tech defeats Clemson.
- 1930: Tuesday night meeting of ASCE to initiate new members.
- 1933: The Tigers defeat Wake Forest, 13-0, in a match played in Charlotte, North Carolina.
- 1935: In Anderson, electric streetcar service ends as Duke Power discontinues operation this date. Streetcars began service on February 19, 1905. - 1944: The Tigers receive second loss in a row as 17th-ranked Wake Forest defeats Clemson in road game, 7-13.
- 1961: The Tigers defeat Tulane, 21-6, in Memorial Stadium. Miss Mary Ann Brunnemer, of Winnsboro, is crowned Homecoming Queen at Halftime. Larry Elgart and his Orchestra provide "dreamy" music for post-game dance (TAPS 1962, page 38.)
- 1967: In game played in Chapel Hill, the Tigers blank North Carolina, 17-0.
- 1979: Clemson soccer team wraps up second day of ACC tourney to win eighth consecutive conference title.
- 2000: Bowden Bowl II - second meeting in the only father-son head coaching face-off in college football history. The Tigers are crushed in Tallahassee, 54-7, by the fifth-ranked Seminoles.
- 2003: 311 in concert in Littlejohn Coliseum with opening act Alien Ant Farm.
- 2006: Clemson hosts the Maryland Terrapins in Death Valley. Kick-off at noon, aired on ESPN 2. Despite being favored by 16 to 19, the Tigers fall as Maryland kicks a field goal with three seconds left, to win 13-12. Adios, Top 25 ranking...
- 2008: Election Day. Barack Obama wins to become the 44th President of the United States, and the first African-American to reach the Oval Office. The State of South Carolina votes for John McCain.
