- 1868: L. A. Sease born. He will serve as a member of the Board of Trustees, 1900-1907, and as an assistant professor of English at Clemson Agricultural College, September 1908-December 1923.
- 1978: Seventeen Democratic candidates seeking statewide office converge on the Clemson campus, sponsored by the Clemson Young Democrats, and speak to a crowd of about 250 students on the Union Plaza. Senate candidate Charles "Pug" Ravenel, and gubernatorial candidates Richard "Dick" Riley and Tom Turnipseed lead off stump speeches.
- 2006: Performance by the the CU Symphony Orchestra at 8 p.m. in the Brooks Center, adults $5, students free.

2010: Spring football game, in Death Valley. Mark Tanner Heniford, a sophomore pre-business major from North Myrtle Beach, died from injuries sustained in a single-car accident on Seneca Creek Road in Oconee County Saturday night (April 10).
