- 1972: Deep Purple, Buddy Miles, and Uriah Heep in concert in Littlejohn Coliseum at 7 p.m. Tickets are $4.50 in advance, $5.50 on the floor and at the door.
- 1980: Dean Walter Cox meets with the Union director Butch Trent and programming director Bill Mandicott over his decision to cancel rock concerts in December.
- 2007: The Men's basketball team is ranked 16th in the USA Today/CNN Coaches poll and 19th in the Associated Press poll following first loss of the season to Maryland.
