Beezer's Gourmet Sandwich Shop was one of several sub shops in Clemson, South Carolina. Indeed, sub sandwiches are one of the staple foods of the Clemson University student. Of the four main shops (Subway, Quiznos, Firehouse and Beezers), Beezers offered the lowest price and the fastest service. Their logo, two bands encircling the globe, included the phrase "The Proof is in the Taste." The chain was founded in 1998.
Beezers also delivered until 3 a.m. most nights of the week. They offered hot subs and cold subs, and one could tell the employees what to customize on the sub, like at Subway. The team was able to make your sub in under two minutes. Most of their subs were under $5 with tax included. They also offered fountain sodas, gallons of tea, chips, and huge cookies. Beezers was on the left side (Subway side) of College Avenue halfway in between the BB&T bank and Subway. Beezers opened in 2004, but closed in winter 2007.
